Email forwarding is a valuable feature that allows you to effortlessly direct emails sent from one address to a different email address. This feature is particularly useful for domain owners who desire custom email addresses without the need to create separate accounts for each domain. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to set up email forwarding on NameSilo.
Step 1: Log in to your NameSilo Account
Begin by logging in to your NameSilo account using your credentials.

Step 2: Access Domain Manager
Navigate to the ‘Domain Manager’ from the sidebar to manage your domains.

Step 3: Open Domain Console Page
Click on the specific domain name for which you want to set up email forwarding. This will open the ‘Domain Console’ page.

Step 4: Configure Email Forwarding
Locate the ‘Email Forwarding’ section and click ‘Configure’ to initiate the email forwarding setup.

Alternatively, you can also access ‘Email Forwarding section by directly clicking the envelope icon.

Step 5: Enter Alias
In the configuration page, enter the alias for the email address you wish to create (e.g., hello for [email protected]). Take note of the option for catch-all (*), but exercise caution due to potential issues with increased spam and confusion. 
Step 6: Add Destination Addresses
Enter the destination address where you want the emails to be forwarded. You can add up to 5 destination addresses for each forward. Click ‘Add Additional Forwarding Addresses’ for this purpose.

Step 7: Submission
Once you’ve configured the alias and destination addresses, click ‘Submit’ to save your email forwarding settings.

Email forwarding may take up to 20 minutes to become operational.
To utilize Namesilo’s free email forwarding service, ensure your domain’s MX records are correctly set. If using NameSilo’s name servers without the necessary MX records, you’ll be notified. You can click on the provided link to Apply the Email Forwarding template.

If you are managing your DNS with thirdparty or hosting provider, please ensure you have added the following records to complete the email forwarding setup.

Why Am I Not Receiving Emails?
If you’re not receiving forwarded emails immediately, it could be due to propagation delays. Additionally, if the email originates from the destination address itself, forwarding may not work as expected.
