The NameSilo Discount Program is designed to reduce long-term domain ownership costs by offering lower prices on registrations and renewals based on portfolio size. It does not apply to domain transfers. This guide explains who is eligible, how savings are calculated, and how to use the program correctly without confusion or missed expectations.
What the Discount Program Covers
The Discount Program applies exclusively to domain registrations and renewals paid using account funds. It does not apply to domain transfers, drop-catching orders, or purchases made using external payment methods.
Once enrolled, eligible discounts are automatically applied at checkout when registering new domains or renewing existing ones, provided account funds are used. The discount level is determined by the number of active domains in your account at the time of purchase.
This structure ensures pricing remains predictable and tied directly to long-term domain ownership rather than one-time transactions.
Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility for the Discount Program is intentionally simple and open to all users. There is no application process, review period, or approval step.
To participate, you must activate the program in your NameSilo account and add funds to your account balance. Each time funds are added while enrolled, the minimum top-up amount is fifty dollars. There is no requirement to maintain a minimum balance after funding.
Only active domains count toward discount tiers. Expired or suspended domains are excluded from the active domain total used to calculate savings.
How Savings Are Calculated
Discounts scale with the size of your active domain portfolio. As the number of active domains increases, the per-domain price for registrations and renewals decreases.
Savings apply evenly across eligible domain transactions rather than being limited to specific extensions or purchase types. This means the same discount logic applies whether you are registering a new domain or renewing an existing one, as long as the transaction qualifies.
Because discounts are applied at checkout automatically, there is no need to manage coupons, track promotional windows, or reapply eligibility manually.
Managing Participation
Enrollment in the Discount Program can be toggled on or off directly from your account dashboard. There is no fee to join or leave the program. If you cancel participation, the minimum funding requirement continues to apply for thirty days following cancellation. This cooling-off period prevents frequent switching between pricing models.
Discount eligibility updates automatically as your portfolio size changes. You do not need to re-enroll or reconfigure settings as your domain count grows or shrinks.
What This Means for You
If you register or renew domains regularly, the Discount Program provides predictable, compounding savings over time. The more active domains you manage, the lower your ongoing costs for registrations and renewals.
Understanding that transfers are excluded prevents billing surprises and allows you to plan domain lifecycle actions correctly. Use the Discount Program for long-term ownership efficiency, not one-time moves between registrars.
By aligning funding, portfolio management, and renewal timing, you can significantly reduce total domain costs without relying on short-term promotions.
