Security First: Why NameSilo Temporarily Went Offline

NameSilo is back online, and the latest PHP security patches have been applied.
Ahead of the patch release, we made the difficult decision to temporarily take our platform offline as a precaution. We knew this would inconvenience customers, but we chose to reduce potential exposure while waiting for the patches to become available.
Remaining online would have avoided that disruption, but it would also have meant accepting potential risk until our systems could be patched. We decided that protecting our customers and platform justified taking the harder step.
Other providers may have remained online during this window. Each environment is different, and we cannot speak to their exposure or safeguards. For NameSilo, however, continued availability was not worth the risk we were seeking to avoid.
Once the patches became available, our team applied them and restored service.
We understand that downtime has a real impact, and we do not take that lightly. Thank you for your patience while we put security first.
